Infants & Toddlers
A home away from home
for local families
At Gawler Riverside Early Learning Centre, we nurture each child’s strong potential for development in a warm and creative environment. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, our philosophy recognises every child as a unique individual, learning through exploration, expression, and relationships. Our educators bring warmth, care, and professionalism to every interaction, fostering curiosity, creativity, strong sense of self, and a lifelong love of learning.
We prioritise warm and authentic relationships with your child, practicing The Circle of Security, which positions your child to feel supported to reach their full potential

Kula
Infants to 2 years
Our youngest children are lovingly cared for in the Kula Group, The kula room consists of a newly renovated space creating a welcoming, cosy, and relaxed space designed especially for children under 2 years.
Each child’s individual needs are met according to their own routines, while our Diploma qualified and Certificate III Trained Infant Early Childhood Educators provide engaging learning and developmental experiences tailored to their unique growth.
We nurture their self-help skills, particularly in eating and drinking, laying the foundation for their emerging sense of self, building their self-esteem and pride in their blossoming independence. Children are encouraged to sit a table based on their developmental levels, developing autonomy and relationships. We recognise that all children even of a young age are confident learners and foster this into everyday practice.
Our consistent team of dedicated staff brings a well-rounded experience, with most educators working 4-5 days a week to provide continuous and familiar care.
When a child turns two or is developmentally ready to move to the Toddler group, we carefully guide their transition to join older children, ensuring a smooth and supported journey to their next stage of learning.

Supported by a team of Diploma-qualified and certificate III Educators, this curriculum offers a rich and engaging environment for growth and exploration.
Toddlers within the space are encouraged and supported to build fundamental life skills such as self-help skills, fine and motor skills and develop language skills to support building relationships.
Many of our Toddler team educators have over five years of experience with us, bringing a wealth of knowledge from the Early Childhood industry.
Children aged from 3 years begin their transition to the Kardi (Preschool) building, preparing them for the significant step to Primary School. Over three weeks, the Children will begin their visits to the Kardi space providing structured times throughout their day.
